Accessibility statement

HelloWalls aims to make our website and shop usable for everyone, regardless of disability or assistive technology. This statement describes our approach, current status, and how to give feedback.

Scope

This statement applies to HelloWalls websites and the online shop in the European Union, including hellowalls.co.uk and our other regional domains.

Standard and target

We aim for conformance with EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Where practical, we also apply recommendations from WCAG 2.2.

Current status

Our website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. We are actively improving colour contrast, keyboard operation, screen reader support, and an accessible checkout.

Known limitations:

  • Some embedded third-party widgets (e.g. review badges) do not fully meet our own standards
  • Complex product configuration requires ongoing optimisation for assistive technologies

Measures taken

  • Accessible forms with labels, error messages, and keyboard focus
  • Semantic HTML, landmarks, and skip links to main content
  • Regular checks with automated tools and manual testing
  • Support for preferences such as reduced motion where the browser allows
